Healthy Eating and Diets

What we eat and the diets we choose to go on not only affects the weight we gain (or lose), but can affect our health as well.

Our lifestyles are more fast paced than ever before and there doesn't seem to be any sign that it will slow down for us. If you're like me, when I feel the pangs of hunger hit I am more apt to grab something "fast" so that I don't have to waste time and that is bad for a host of reasons in itself, but it's what I grab that just adds more problems.

Food provides us with fuel to keep us going. If we are eating something that is poor in nutritional value then of the "hole" will be filled for the time being, but we will pay a huge price in that we won't have enough energy to keep us going, it will add to the old waist line, and then of course the longer term price is not feeling healthy at all.

We certainly need to balance between eating right and taking into consideration the diets we choose. We need to make sure that the calories we take in burns so that we don't gain weight. And for some, they aren't eating enough which causes problems as well.

Dieting is fine but we need to make sure that what we are not only taking in enough to maintain the energy we need to keep going but to ensure that are giving out bodies the nutrition it needs.

Many of us would like to lose a few pounds and in some cases what it boils down to is watching what we "grab" for hunger does strike. Instead of reaching for that mars bar (like me), reach for something a lot more healthy and something that will keep the energy levels high ... which of course will help you avoid the diets!!
